History

In 1988, the center’s owners, Dr. Hongfei Lin, M.D. and John Luo Ph.D., arrived in the United States from China with the vision that, using Traditional Chinese medicine, they could help others tap into their own healing potential. The product of that dream was realized in 1991 when they created the Clinic of Chinese Medicine in North Denver. Within fifteen years, Dr. Lin’s blossoming reputation and popularity prompted the couple to expand their small clinic and found the TrueMind® Center. In 2004, they opened a second location in the lively Cherry Creek North district, and have since continued to offer the timeless power and enduring heritage of Traditional Chinese Medicine in two convenient locations.

Philosophy

Dr. Lin’s practice and TrueMind® Center were founded upon the enduring philosophies of the ancient Chinese life sciences. Today, one can feel the effects of these principles intricately woven into all aspects of the center: in its service, its commitment to excellence, its operations – even its name, logo, and building. Many patients remark that they sense a calm energy when they walk through our doors.

The name TrueMind® was created by Dr. Hongfei Lin and Dr. John Luo (Ph.D.) to represent the ideal state of mind achieved by ancient Chinese sages who were in total harmony and cooperation with the universe. When one has a true mind, he or she is said to have become authentically one with his/her body and mind; it is a state of pure harmony, and it manifests itself through excellent health, remarkable longevity, and, oftentimes, extraordinary abilities and multidimensional vision.

Traditional Chinese Medicine strives to help others attain optimal health by synchronizing the mind and body so that harmony with nature can be achieved. TrueMind® Center’s logo embodies this idea: the dark upper part represents the universe (Heaven), and the bottom lines that form the letters “T” and “M” stand for TrueMind® and are curved to represent the earth. The lines on the bottom form four sections, which symbolize the 4 truths of our TCM practice. In essence, the logo is a conceptual picture of the harmony among humans, earth, and the universe while in an ideal state of mind we call TrueMind®.

It is Dr. Lin’s firm belief that helping patients tap into their true mind state is the best way to help them remain healthy and happy for life.
